Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of complex civil engineering projects including roadway, bridge, and water management systems
- Perform detailed structural analysis and hydraulic modeling using industry-standard software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, HEC-RAS)
- Oversee project lifecycle from feasibility studies through construction administration and final inspections
- Ensure compliance with TxDOT, FEMA, and international building codes (IBC, ACI)
- Manage client relationships and coordinate with contractors, architects, and government agencies
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical reviews of design deliverables
- Develop cost estimates, project schedules, and risk mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited institution (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years progressive experience in civil design and construction management
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Proficiency in BIM/CIM technologies and civil engineering software suites
- Demonstrated expertise in transportation infrastructure or water resources projects
- Strong knowledge of sustainable design practices and LEED certification
- Excellent project management skills with PMP certification a plus
- Experience with public procurement processes and federal grant applications
