Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects using SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Conduct FEA/CFD simulations to validate structural integrity and thermal performance
- Develop detailed GD&T specifications and manufacturing documentation
- Collaborate with suppliers to optimize component cost and quality
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews
- Research emerging materials and manufacturing technologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in automotive or heavy machinery design
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS simulation tools
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, ASME Y14.5 standards
- Experience with DFMEA and DFM methodologies
- Proven track record of bringing complex projects from concept to production
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
