Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design processes using CAD/CAE tools (SolidWorks, ANSYS)
- Develop and optimize product designs for manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and performance
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and simulation testing for structural integrity
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Production, Quality) to ensure seamless implementation
- Generate detailed technical documentation, including schematics, BOMs, and assembly instructions
- Mentor junior engineers and facilitate continuous process improvement initiatives
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in mechanical engineering
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of progressive experience in mechanical design and product development
- Expert proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks) and simulation tools (ANSYS)
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes (CNC, injection molding, sheet metal)
- Proven track record of leading complex engineering projects from concept to production
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Professional Engineer (PE) license highly desirable
- Experience with automotive or industrial machinery systems preferred
