Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of complex mechanical systems and components from concept through production.
- Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Conduct stress analysis and finite element analysis (FEA) to ensure product integrity and safety.
- Collaborate with product managers and R&D teams to translate requirements into technical specifications.
- Oversee the prototyping process and perform rigorous testing to validate design performance.
- Ensure all designs comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Document technical data and maintain accurate engineering change orders (ECOs).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 5+ years of professional experience in mechanical design and product development.
- Proficient in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor.
- Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Experience with FEA tools (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus) is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for technical presentations.
