Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end mechanical design of complex products, from concept through to mass production.
- Perform rigorous stress analysis and finite element analysis (FEA) to ensure component durability and reliability.
- Collaborate closely with electrical and software engineers to integrate mechanical systems into broader product architectures.
- Create detailed 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings using industry-standard CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Siemens NX).
- Manage project timelines and milestones, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards and are delivered on schedule.
- Oversee the prototyping and testing phases, iterating on designs based on physical testing and user feedback.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to the design team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably within the technology or manufacturing sector.
- Proficient in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Creo) with a strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Strong analytical skills with experience in FEA and simulation tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven track record of successfully managing engineering projects from conception to launch.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
