Responsibilities
- Lead design and development of mechanical systems using CAD/CAE tools (SolidWorks, ANSYS)
- Perform finite element analysis and thermal simulations for product optimization
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure DFM/DFA principles are implemented
- Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables within Agile framework
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical design reviews
- Research emerging technologies to enhance product performance and sustainability
- Interface with clients to define technical requirements and deliverables
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical product development
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and simulation software
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (injection molding, sheet metal, etc.)
- Experience with automotive or industrial product validation
- Proven project management skills with PMP certification preferred
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and technical documentation skills
- Strong communication skills with ability to present complex concepts
