Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design for EV powertrain components using SolidWorks and CATIA
- Develop and validate prototypes through FEA simulation and physical testing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical and thermal systems
- Create detailed engineering documentation and manufacturing drawings
- Optimize designs for cost, weight, and manufacturability
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with ISO 26262 and automotive industry standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in automotive or high-volume product development
- Expert proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks/CATIA) and FEA software
- Deep understanding of material selection and manufacturing processes
- Experience with NVH analysis and thermal management systems
- Strong project management skills with PMP certification a plus
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
