Responsibilities
- Design & Development: Utilize CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) to create detailed mechanical parts and assemblies, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
- Simulation & Analysis: Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to validate structural integrity and thermal performance before prototyping.
- Prototyping & Testing: Lead the fabrication of prototypes, manage testing protocols, and iterate on designs based on empirical data and failure analysis.
- Project Management: Collaborate with project managers to define project scopes, timelines, and resource allocation for mechanical engineering tasks.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs meet relevant safety, environmental, and quality assurance regulations (e.g., ISO, ASTM).
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably within the manufacturing or aerospace sector.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Siemens NX.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and materials science.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex engineering concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
