Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design of mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Perform advanced finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations to validate product performance under various conditions.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional R&D, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless integration of designs into production lines.
- Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, including BOMs, schematics, and assembly instructions.
- Conduct rigorous testing and failure analysis to troubleshoot design issues and implement robust solutions.
- Comply with industry standards (ASME, ISO) and company quality management systems.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and review their work for accuracy and adherence to specifications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably within the automotive or industrial machinery sector.
- Proficient in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or CATIA.
- Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with FEA tools like ANSYS or Abaqus is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
