Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design lifecycle from concept to production for renewable energy systems
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal simulations to optimize product performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical systems with electrical and software components
- Develop detailed technical documentation including CAD models, BOMs, and assembly instructions
- Conduct prototype testing and implement design improvements based on validation results
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in engineering processes
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (ASME, ISO) and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design with 3+ years in energy systems or manufacturing
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS simulation software
- Proven track record of designing complex mechanical assemblies with tight tolerances
- Strong understanding of material science and manufacturing processes (CNC, injection molding)
- Experience with GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis
- Certification in PMP or Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher) desirable
- Excellent problem-solving skills with data-driven decision-making approach
