Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of large-scale civil infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and utility systems
- Perform advanced structural analysis using industry-standard software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit)
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including architects, environmental specialists, and construction managers
- Ensure compliance with FEMA, TCEQ, and international building codes
- Develop cost-effective solutions balancing sustainability, safety, and functionality
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical reviews
- Present designs to municipal planning boards and regulatory authorities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred)
- PE license in Texas or ability to obtain within 6 months
- 10+ years of progressive civil engineering experience
- Expertise in structural design and geotechnical analysis
- Proven track record with infrastructure projects valued at $50M+
- Proficiency in BIM/CIM modeling and construction documentation
- Strong knowledge of Houston-specific permitting processes
- LEED/APWA certification preferred
