Responsibilities
- Lead design, prototyping, and validation of complex mechanical systems using CAD/CAE tools
- Perform FEA/CFD simulations to ensure structural integrity and performance optimization
- Develop manufacturing processes and assembly procedures for high-volume production
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system integration and testing protocols
- Research and implement advanced materials and manufacturing technologies
- Mentor junior engineers and document engineering best practices
- Ensure compliance with ASME, ISO, and industry safety standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years experience in mechanical design and product development
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks, CATIA, and ANSYS/Abaqus
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and DFMEA
- Experience with additive manufacturing and composite materials
- Proven project management with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Automotive or aerospace industry background essential
- PMP or PE certification highly desirable
