Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design and validation of vehicle components using CAD tools (SolidWorks, CATIA)
- Conduct FEA/CFD simulations to ensure structural integrity and thermal performance
- Develop prototypes and oversee testing procedures in our advanced lab facilities
- Optimize manufacturing processes for cost efficiency and scalability
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with suppliers to source high-performance materials and components
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design for automotive or aerospace industries
- Proficiency in CAD/CAE tools and simulation methodologies
- Strong knowledge of materials science and manufacturing processes
- Experience with DOE (Design of Experiments) and statistical analysis
- Proven project leadership with ability to manage complex timelines
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification
