Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical design lifecycle from concept to production for aerospace propulsion systems
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations
- Develop detailed CAD models and technical documentation using SolidWorks/NX
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure producibility and cost-effectiveness
- Conduct prototype testing and validation in thermal/vibration environments
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with ASME, FAA, and ISO quality standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering; Master's preferred
- 8+ years of experience in aerospace/automotive mechanical design
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS simulation tools
- Strong knowledge of materials science and metallurgy for high-stress applications
- Experience with GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis
- Proven project management skills with PMP certification a plus
- Ability to obtain US security clearance (if required for projects)
