Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design of thermal management systems using SolidWorks and ANSYS
- Develop FEA simulations for stress/thermal analysis and optimization of components
- Collaborate with electrical and software teams on integrated system architectures
- Design and validate prototypes through rapid prototyping and test lab execution
- Create comprehensive technical documentation including CAD drawings, BOMs, and test reports
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design methodologies
- Research emerging materials and manufacturing processes for sustainable applications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred) with 7+ years of experience
- Expert proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks) and FEA tools (ANSYS, Abaqus)
- Proven track record in thermal system design and heat transfer applications
- Strong knowledge of DFM/DFA principles and manufacturing processes (injection molding, CNC)
- Experience leading cross-functional engineering projects from concept to production
- Certification in Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent process improvement methodology
- Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to balance technical constraints and business objectives
