Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design and development of complex automated systems and robotics platforms.
- Utilize CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, or Creo) to create detailed 2D and 3D models, including BOMs and assembly drawings.
- Conduct rigorous testing, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and physical prototyping, to validate product performance and durability.
- Partner with manufacturing and production teams to ensure smooth transitions from design to mass production.
- Oversee project timelines and budgets, providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Identify and mitigate engineering risks during the product development lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably within the robotics, automation, or manufacturing sectors.
- Proficient in CAD software (SolidWorks is highly preferred) and simulation tools (ANSYS, Abaqus).
- Strong understanding of GD&T, materials science, and manufacturing processes (CNC, injection molding, additive manufacturing).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for on-site testing.
