Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end mechanical design process, from concept ideation and 3D modeling to prototyping and final production.
- Conduct rigorous analysis using FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) to validate design integrity and performance under stress.
- Develop detailed manufacturing drawings and documentation, ensuring strict adherence to GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) standards.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, software developers, and product managers to integrate mechanical systems seamlessly.
- Manage the testing and validation phases, including failure analysis and root cause determination to improve product reliability.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize existing product designs for cost, weight, and manufacturability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and product development.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor.
- Strong working knowledge of GD&T, materials science, and manufacturing processes (CNC, Injection Molding, 3D Printing).
- Experience with simulation tools like ANSYS, Abaqus, or COMSOL.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
