Responsibilities
- Lead design and development of automotive mechanical systems using CAD/CAE tools
- Analyze thermal, structural, and fluid dynamics performance through FEA/CFD simulations
- Optimize manufacturing processes for cost efficiency and quality control
- Manage project timelines and deliverables using Agile methodologies
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical reviews
- Collaborate with R&D to prototype and validate new technologies
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and automotive industry standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in automotive mechanical design
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks, ANSYS, and CATIA
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, DFMEA, and APQP processes
- Proven experience with additive manufacturing and lightweight materials
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus
- Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams
- Valid US driver's license and willingness for occasional travel
