Responsibilities
- Lead design and prototyping of high-precision mechanical systems using CAD tools (SolidWorks, CATIA)
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal simulations to validate structural integrity
- Develop detailed manufacturing documentation and collaborate with production teams
- Conduct root cause analysis of mechanical failures and implement corrective actions
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design methodologies
- Ensure compliance with ASME standards and aerospace regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design for aerospace or automotive industries
- Expert proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and simulation software
- Strong understanding of materials science and manufacturing processes
- Proven experience with GD&T and tolerance analysis
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or eligibility
- Experience with additive manufacturing (AM) and composite materials
