Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end product development lifecycle from concept to production
- Design and optimize mechanical systems using CAD/CAM tools (SolidWorks preferred)
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal simulations for performance validation
- Collaborate with electrical and software teams on integrated system designs
- Develop comprehensive test plans and validate prototypes in controlled environments
- Mentor junior engineers and review technical documentation
- Research emerging materials and manufacturing techniques for competitive advantage
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in product design and development
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS simulation software
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, DFM, and industry standards (ASME/ISO)
- Proven track record in automotive or aerospace product launches
- Certification in Six Sigma or PMP highly desirable
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication abilities for stakeholder collaboration
