Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects from concept to validation using CAD/CAE tools
- Develop and optimize automotive components for performance, durability, and manufacturability
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and simulation testing to ensure structural integrity
- Collaborate with electrical and software teams to integrate mechanical systems with autonomous driving platforms
- Prototype testing, failure analysis, and implementation of design improvements
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous process improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in automotive or heavy machinery design
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS simulation tools
- Strong understanding of GD&T, material science, and manufacturing processes
- Proven track record in leading mechanical development from prototype to production
- Valid PMP or PE certification highly desirable
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and technical documentation abilities
