Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects for aerospace components using CAD/CAE tools
- Perform FEA/CFD simulations and thermal analysis for high-stress environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (materials, manufacturing, systems engineering)
- Develop and validate prototypes through rigorous testing protocols
- Ensure compliance with AS9100 and FAA aerospace standards
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous process improvements
- Present technical solutions to stakeholders and executive leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in aerospace/defense mechanical design
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS/Abaqus simulation tools
- Strong knowledge of composite materials and additive manufacturing
- Proven track record of delivering complex mechanical systems
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Experience with DO-160 environmental standards certification
- Excellent problem-solving and project management skills
