Responsibilities
- Lead design, prototyping, and testing of mechanical systems for automotive applications
- Analyze engineering problems using FEA/CFD simulations and validate solutions through physical testing
- Develop detailed CAD models and technical documentation using SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize production processes and reduce costs
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (ISO, ASME) and safety regulations
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Research emerging technologies and propose innovative solutions for complex challenges
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and product development
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD with proven portfolio
- Strong knowledge of FEA/CFD tools (ANSYS, Abaqus) and material science
- Experience with automotive manufacturing processes and testing standards
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams
- Strong communication skills with ability to present technical concepts clearly
- Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma certification a plus
