Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical product design from concept to prototyping using SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal simulations to validate performance under real-world conditions
- Develop manufacturing processes and optimize designs for cost-effective production
- Interface with suppliers to source specialized components and materials
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews for quality assurance
- Document technical specifications and create comprehensive engineering documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and product development
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS simulation tools
- Strong knowledge of GD&T and manufacturing processes (machining, injection molding)
- Experience with automotive or aerospace industry standards (ISO 9001, AS9100)
- Proven track record of delivering complex mechanical systems from concept to production
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams
