Responsibilities
- Design, analyze, and optimize mechanical components using CAD tools (SolidWorks/CATIA)
- Lead FEA/CFD simulations for structural integrity and aerodynamic performance
- Develop detailed manufacturing specifications and tolerance analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, software, manufacturing)
- Prototype testing and validation in lab and field environments
- Mentor junior engineers and review technical documentation
- Implement DFM/DFA principles to enhance manufacturability
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in aerospace or high-performance mechanical design
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and/or CATIA
- Strong knowledge of FEA (ANSYS) and CFD tools
- Experience with composite materials and metal fabrication processes
- Understanding of AS9100 and FAA certification standards
- Proven project leadership and problem-solving skills
