Responsibilities
- Lead conceptual design and prototyping of complex electromechanical systems for electric vehicles
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations for structural validation
- Develop detailed CAD models using SolidWorks and AutoCAD with tolerance analysis expertise
- Oversee testing protocols including fatigue, vibration, and environmental stress simulations
- Mentor junior engineers and document design processes per ISO 9001 standards
- Collaborate with suppliers on component sourcing and manufacturing feasibility
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of industrial experience
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks, ANSYS, and CAD modeling software
- Strong knowledge of materials science (metals, composites, polymers)
- Certification in GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and DOE methodologies
- Proven track record in automotive or heavy machinery product development
- Experience with rapid prototyping and additive manufacturing processes
- Strong project management skills with Agile/Scrum exposure
