Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design from concept to production using SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Perform FEA/CFD analysis to validate structural integrity and thermal performance
- Develop detailed BOMs and technical documentation for manufacturing partners
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, software, manufacturing)
- Optimize designs for cost, manufacturability, and regulatory compliance
- Manage project timelines and resources using JIRA and Agile methodologies
- Mentor junior engineers through design reviews and technical training
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical product development
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS simulation tools
- Proven track record in bringing complex systems from prototype to production
- Strong understanding of GD&T, ASME Y14.5, and ISO standards
- Experience with additive manufacturing and hybrid design processes
- PMP or PE certification highly desirable
- Portfolio showcasing 3+ major mechanical system designs
