Responsibilities

  • Lead mechanical design and analysis of aerospace propulsion components using CAD/CAE tools
  • Develop and validate engineering solutions through FEA, CFD, and physical prototyping
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (aerostructures, avionics, materials) for integrated system design
  • Manage project timelines and deliverables while ensuring compliance with AS9100 and FAA standards
  • Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews for continuous improvement
  • Research and implement advanced materials and manufacturing processes
  • Interface with suppliers and vendors for component sourcing and qualification

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in aerospace or high-precision mechanical design
  • Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS/Abaqus simulation tools
  • Strong understanding of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and DFMEA methodologies
  • Experience with composite materials and additive manufacturing processes
