Responsibilities
- Design and implement reservoir simulation models to forecast production performance and optimize field development strategies
- Analyze pressure transient data, well logs, and production history to identify reservoir characteristics and opportunities
- Develop integrated reservoir management plans balancing economic targets with environmental stewardship
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including drilling, geoscience, and production engineering
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on reservoir engineering best practices
- Stay current with emerging technologies including AI/ML applications in reservoir characterization
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of reservoir engineering experience in upstream oil and gas operations
- Proficiency in reservoir simulation software (Petrel, Eclipse, CMG)
- Strong analytical skills with experience in pressure transient analysis and production optimization
- Demonstrated project leadership in field development planning
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Experience with unconventional reservoirs (shale, tight sands) highly desirable
