Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design and development of robotic systems and complex automated assemblies.
- Perform comprehensive thermal, stress, and vibration analysis to ensure product reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers and firmware developers.
- Create detailed 3D CAD models and production-ready engineering drawings using SolidWorks/CATIA.
- Oversee prototype fabrication and manage iterative design testing cycles.
- Select and specify materials and components for high-precision mechanical motion systems.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior design engineers and contribute to department design standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 6+ years of experience in product design, preferably in robotics, automotive, or aerospace.
- Expert-level proficiency in 3D CAD modeling software (SolidWorks, Inventor, or CATIA).
- Strong understanding of GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis, and DFM/DFA principles.
- Experience with FEA simulation tools like ANSYS or COMSOL.
- Proven track record of taking complex products from concept to mass production.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
