Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical product design lifecycle from concept to validation using SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Perform FEA/CFD simulations and prototyping to optimize thermal, structural, and fluid dynamics performance
- Develop manufacturing processes and supply chain strategies for mass production scalability
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives reducing material waste by 15% annually
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews ensuring compliance with ASME/ISO standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical systems with electronics and firmware
- Research emerging materials and technologies to maintain competitive advantage
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS/PhD preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in consumer product development with 3D printing and injection molding expertise
- Proficiency in CAD/CAE tools (SolidWorks, ANSYS, Abaqus) and PLM systems
- Proven track record of bringing products from prototype to mass production
- Strong analytical skills with DOE and statistical analysis background
- PMP or Six Sigma certification desirable
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and technical documentation skills
- Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams
