Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design lifecycle from concept validation through prototyping and mass production
- Develop and optimize CAD models using SolidWorks and ANSYS for structural/thermal analysis
- Conduct DFMEA (Design Failure Mode Effects Analysis) to ensure product reliability and safety
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, software, manufacturing) to integrate complex systems
- Drive innovation in material selection and manufacturing processes for cost reduction
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical reviews to maintain design quality standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical product development for industrial or consumer products
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and simulation tools (ANSYS, Abaqus)
- Proven track record of designing complex mechanical assemblies with tight tolerances
- Familiarity with GD&T, DFM, and ISO 9001 quality standards
- Strong analytical skills for solving thermal, structural, and vibration challenges
- Experience leading cross-functional engineering projects from concept to launch
