Responsibilities
- Design and analyze complex mechanical systems using CAD tools (SolidWorks/AutoCAD) and FEA simulations
- Lead product development lifecycle from concept to production, ensuring compliance with industry standards
- Collaborate with R&D teams to prototype, test, and validate mechanical solutions
- Optimize designs for cost-effectiveness, scalability, and sustainability
- Drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes and quality control systems
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical reviews
- Interface with suppliers to source components and ensure supply chain efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design for consumer products or automotive systems
- Expert proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks) and simulation tools (ANSYS/ABAQUS)
- Strong understanding of materials science, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics
- Proven track record of leading product development from prototype to mass production
- Experience with DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFMA (Design for Assembly) principles
- Certifications in Six Sigma or PMP highly desirable
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in fast-paced environments
