Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical design and prototyping of automotive components using CAD/CAM tools
- Perform FEA/CFD simulations for structural and thermal analysis
- Develop test protocols and validate product performance in lab and field environments
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize production processes
- Manage project timelines and technical documentation
- Mentor junior engineers and review technical deliverables
- Research emerging technologies and implement best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical product development
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, ANSYS, and CAD software
- Strong understanding of GD&T and manufacturing processes
- Experience with automotive industry standards (SAE, ISO)
- Project management certification or equivalent experience
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Valid US driver's license for field testing
