Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design of UAV propulsion systems using SolidWorks and CATIA
- Conduct FEA/CFD simulations for structural integrity and aerodynamic performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical and control systems
- Develop rapid prototypes using additive manufacturing and CNC machining
- Validate designs through rigorous testing in environmental simulation chambers
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous process improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 5+ years in mechanical design with aerospace or defense experience
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS Suite
- Strong knowledge of materials science and manufacturing processes
- Experience with DO-160 environmental testing standards
- PMP or PE certification highly desirable
