Responsibilities
- Lead design and prototyping of automotive mechanical systems using SolidWorks and ANSYS
- Perform thermal, stress, and fluid dynamics analysis for component optimization
- Manage project timelines and deliverables in Agile development environments
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure manufacturing feasibility and cost efficiency
- Develop test plans and validate designs through physical prototyping
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in automotive or heavy machinery design
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and simulation tools
- Strong knowledge of GD&T and manufacturing processes
- Proven project leadership in cross-functional teams
- Professional Engineering (PE) license required
- Experience with electric vehicle powertrain systems a plus
