Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design, analysis, and prototyping of complex systems and components using industry-standard CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations to validate design integrity and performance under stress.
- Develop detailed technical documentation, including 2D drawings, 3D models, and Bill of Materials (BOM), adhering to GD&T standards.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (electrical, software, and manufacturing) to integrate mechanical systems into final products.
- Oversee the transition of designs from prototype to mass production, working with manufacturing partners to ensure feasibility and quality.
- Mentor junior engineers and interns, fostering a culture of technical mentorship and knowledge sharing.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards (ISO, ASTM, ASME) and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in mechanical design and product development.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling (SolidWorks is highly preferred) and 2D drafting (AutoCAD).
- Strong working knowledge of FEA/CFD tools (ANSYS, COMSOL, or similar) and simulation software.
- Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, materials science, and assembly methods.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
