Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects using CAD/CAE tools, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications
- Develop and optimize thermal/fluid systems for renewable energy applications, conducting FEA simulations for performance validation
- Collaborate with R&D teams to prototype and test innovative mechanical solutions in our state-of-the-art laboratory facilities
- Mentor junior engineers through design reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
- Interface with suppliers to source cost-effective materials and components while maintaining quality and sustainability metrics
- Prepare detailed technical documentation including assembly drawings, BOMs, and test reports for regulatory compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of experience in product development
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS for complex mechanical simulations and thermal analysis
- Proven track record leading cross-functional projects from concept to production launch
- Strong understanding of DFMA principles and experience with rapid prototyping technologies (3D printing, CNC)
- Knowledge of industry standards (ASME, ISO) and experience with regulatory compliance processes
- Excellent problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical systems
- Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred
