Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end product development lifecycle from concept to mass production
- Design and optimize mechanical systems using CAD/CAE tools (SolidWorks, ANSYS)
- Conduct FEA/CFD simulations for structural integrity and thermal analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on prototyping, testing, and validation
- Develop design documentation and ensure compliance with industry standards (ASME, ISO)
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Analyze manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design and product development
- Expert proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks) and simulation tools
- Proven track record in automotive or heavy machinery industries
- Strong knowledge of materials science and manufacturing processes
- Certification in Six Sigma or project management a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
