Responsibilities
- Lead the design, prototyping, and testing of mechanical components using advanced CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA)
- Analyze thermal, fluid, and structural systems through FEA/CFD simulations to ensure performance and reliability
- Optimize manufacturing processes for cost efficiency and sustainability (lean manufacturing principles)
- Collaborate with electrical and software teams on integrated system designs
- Develop technical documentation including CAD drawings, BOMs, and test protocols
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews
- Research emerging materials and technologies to enhance product capabilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and product development
- Expert proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and simulation tools
- Strong understanding of GD&T, ASME standards, and manufacturing processes
- Experience with FEA/CFD analysis (ANSYS, Abaqus, or similar)
- Proven track record of delivering complex mechanical systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication abilities for technical documentation and team collaboration
