Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design lifecycle from concept to prototyping for aerospace components
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal simulations using ANSYS and SolidWorks
- Develop manufacturing processes and conduct design for manufacturing (DFM) reviews
- Collaborate with electrical and software teams to integrate mechanical systems
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical reviews for quality assurance
- Generate detailed technical documentation including CAD models, BOMs, and test plans
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of experience
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS simulation tools
- Strong background in aerospace or high-performance mechanical systems
- Certification in GD&T and ASME Y14.5 standards
- Experience with composite materials and additive manufacturing
- Proven track record of leading complex mechanical projects from concept to production
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
