Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design lifecycle from concept to validation using CAD/CAM tools (SolidWorks, CATIA)
- Develop and optimize precision components for high-stress aerospace environments
- Conduct FEA/CFD simulations for structural and thermal performance analysis
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure DFM/DFA principles are implemented
- Lead prototype testing and validation procedures in state-of-the-art labs
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in aerospace or high-tech mechanical design
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS simulation tools
- Strong knowledge of materials science (composites, alloys, polymers)
- Experience with tolerance analysis and GD&T standards (ASME Y14.5)
- Proven project management skills with PMP certification preferred
- Strong problem-solving abilities with systematic troubleshooting approach
