Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end product development lifecycle from concept to production, optimizing for performance, cost, and manufacturability
- Design and validate complex mechanical systems using CAD tools (SolidWorks/CATIA) and FEA simulation (ANSYS/Abaqus)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical, software, and hardware components
- Develop test protocols and conduct failure analysis to ensure product reliability and safety standards
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in engineering processes
- Research emerging materials and manufacturing techniques to maintain competitive advantage
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in product development with 3+ in leadership roles
- Expert proficiency in CAD/CAE tools and hands-on prototyping experience
- Strong understanding of DFM, DFA, and tolerance analysis methodologies
- Proven track record in bringing complex mechanical products to market
- Certification in Six Sigma or PMP highly desirable
- Experience with agile development and PLM systems (e.g., Teamcenter)
