Responsibilities
- Lead design and prototyping of automotive mechanical systems using CAD/CAE tools
- Perform FEA/CFD simulations for structural integrity and thermal analysis
- Develop test protocols and validate prototypes through rigorous experimentation
- Optimize manufacturing processes for cost efficiency and quality control
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Interface with suppliers to ensure component specifications are met
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 5+ years in automotive or heavy machinery design
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS simulation tools
- Strong knowledge of GD&T and ASME standards
- Proven experience with DFMEA and product lifecycle management
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility
