Responsibilities
- Lead design and prototyping of advanced mechanical systems for EV powertrains and chassis components
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical solutions with electrical and software systems
- Develop comprehensive technical documentation and manufacturing specifications
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design methodologies
- Conduct rigorous testing and validation of mechanical prototypes under real-world conditions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of experience
- Expert proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA) and simulation tools (ANSYS, Abaqus)
- Proven track record in designing automotive components or heavy machinery
- Strong knowledge of materials science and manufacturing processes
- Experience with DOE methodologies and statistical analysis
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in fast-paced environments
