Responsibilities
- Lead design and prototyping of complex mechanical systems for aerospace applications
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and simulation to validate structural integrity
- Develop detailed CAD models and technical documentation using SolidWorks and CATIA
- Collaborate with test engineers to validate prototypes and implement design improvements
- Optimize manufacturing processes for cost-efficiency and performance
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews
- Ensure compliance with FAA and industry standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in aerospace or high-tech mechanical design
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and CATIA with complex assemblies
- Strong background in FEA tools (ANSYS, Abaqus) and thermal analysis
- Experience with composite materials and additive manufacturing
- Knowledge of GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis
- Proven track record of delivering projects from concept to production
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
