Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design of EV powertrain components using SolidWorks and CATIA
- Conduct FEA/CFD simulations for thermal and structural performance optimization
- Develop DVP&R protocols and execute validation testing in ISO-certified labs
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Interface with suppliers to ensure manufacturability and cost targets
- Generate detailed technical documentation and patent disclosures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred) from ABET-accredited program
- 8+ years in automotive product development with EV powertrain exposure
- Expert proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks/CATIA) and simulation software
- Strong knowledge of SPC, GD&T, and DFMEA methodologies
- Proven track record of launching production-ready components
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or eligibility
- Experience with battery thermal management systems
