Responsibilities

  • Lead the mechanical design and development of new products from concept through to mass production, utilizing CAD software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
  • Conduct advanced finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations to validate design integrity and optimize performance under various loads.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, project managers, and manufacturing staff to ensure seamless integration and adherence to project timelines.
  • Develop and oversee the prototyping process, including 3D printing, CNC machining, and rapid prototyping techniques to test and iterate on designs.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on best practices in GD&T, tolerance analysis, and material selection.
  • Prepare detailed engineering drawings, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and technical specifications for manufacturing partners.
  • Identify and troubleshoot mechanical failures, root cause analyze issues, and implement continuous improvement strategies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) required; Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in mechanical design and product development.
