Responsibilities
- Lead design and prototyping of complex mechanical systems using CAD software (SolidWorks/AutoCAD)
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal simulations for performance optimization
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical designs with electronic systems
- Develop and test prototypes in our advanced R&D lab
- Create detailed technical documentation and manufacturing specifications
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (ASME, ISO) and safety regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and development
- Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling (SolidWorks, CATIA) and FEA tools
- Strong understanding of materials science and manufacturing processes
- Experience with automotive or heavy machinery systems
- Proven project management skills with ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
