Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design of aerospace components using SolidWorks and CATIA
- Perform FEA/CFD analysis using ANSYS and validate prototypes through rigorous testing
- Develop manufacturing processes for complex machined and composite components
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design methodologies
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure manufacturing feasibility and quality standards
- Document technical specifications and create detailed engineering drawings
- Research emerging materials and technologies for next-gen aerospace applications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in aerospace or high-performance mechanical design
- Expert proficiency in CAD/CAE tools (SolidWorks, CATIA, ANSYS)
- Strong understanding of GD&T and manufacturing processes (machining, composites)
- Experience with thermal analysis and materials selection for extreme environments
- Proven project leadership with ability to manage technical deliverables
- Active PE license or willingness to obtain within 6 months
- Knowledge of aerospace industry standards (AS9100, NADCAP)
